Hi and welcome to my online studio and gallery!

I've been interested in creating my entire life!  As a child, I can remember how I so cherished the days our class would visit the art room in school.  I can still vividly recall bits of wallpaper, scraps of tissue paper, fabric and colored pencils from preschool that I treasured.  In my young eyes, these were riches beyond belief!  This love to create simmered and smoldered throughout most of my childhood until I finally studied photography and painting in college.  Exposed to new techniques, materials and other artists, I quickly became interested in many different mediums.

These days I am focused primarily on the expressive, buttery qualities of painting in oils and acrylics.  Creating color with paint is magical and has infinite possibilities!

The natural world has always inspired me, and I am continually drawn to the ephemeral nature of light and its delicate interplay with color.  My hope is to convey the essence of a scene and to capture the intimacy of a fleeting moment.  Ultimately, I would like to increase our mindfulness and appreciation of the natural beauty in our world that so completely surrounds us, yet often eludes us in our everyday lives.
